Anne de Beauchamp, 15th Countess of Warwick

Anne de Beauchamp, 15th Countess of Warwick

Anne Beauchamp, 15th Countess of Warwick (1443–1449) was born in Cardiff, the only child of Henry de Beauchamp, 1st Duke of Warwick, 14th Earl of Warwick and Cecily Neville. Her maternal grandparents were Richard Neville, 5th Earl of Salisbury and Alice Montagu, Countess of Salisbury.

Her maternal grandfather was also an older brother of another Cecily Neville, wife of Richard Plantagenet, 3rd Duke of York. Her mother was a first cousin of Edward IV of England, Edmund, Earl of Rutland, Margaret of York, George Plantagenet, 1st Duke of Clarence and Richard III of England.

In 1445, her father died. While his dukedom became extinct, his earldom was allowed to be inherited by his daughter, so Anne became the "suo jure" 15th Countess of Warwick at age two. However, she died just three years later at Ewelme in Oxfordshire, the home of her maternal step-great-grandmother. She was buried in Reading Abbey.

Her title was inherited by her uncle by marriage, Richard Neville (married to Henry's sister, Anne Beauchamp, not to be confused with the subject of this article).
