The Federazione Italiana Attività Subacquee (FIAS) is the Italian Underwater Activities Federation.
Description
FIAS is an important non-profit diver training organization, founded [(IT) History, structure and philosophy of FIAS http://www.fias.it/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=127&Itemid=128] in 1972, that offers internationaly recognized diver certifications [(IT) Available dive courses http://www.fias.it/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=168&Itemid=179] .It is member of CMAS and Confederazione Italiana delle Attività Subacquee (CIAS).
It works along with Civil Protection and actively supports environment research and protection projects.
