Introduced in 2001 by originating station WNED-TV Buffalo, ThinkBright's programming was extended to most New York communities (except New York City) on October 1, 2007.

Participating New York PBS digital member stations include:
* WPBS-TV 16.2 Watertown
* WMHT-TV 17.2 Schenectady (Troy-Albany)
* WNED-TV 17.3 Buffalo and Western NY
* WNPI-TV 18.2 Norwood (Potsdam)

* WCNY-TV 24.3 Syracuse
* WSKA-DT 30.3 Corning-Elmira
* WSKG-TV 46.3 Binghamton

In most markets, it occupies these subchannels for twelve hours per day, with the remaining timeslots allocated to other educational programming sources such as Create.

Jim Connors, son of former DJ J.C. Connors, is the network's program coordinator. Involved in the creation of New York television programming since 2000, he devotes much of his time to production consulting. [ [http://www.acefest.com/fest08/ ACE film festival] ]
