History

The airline was established and started operations on 12 April 1993 in Campo Grande, Mato Grosso do Sul. It was formed following the 1992 partial deregulation. It became the first Brazilian airline to introduce the ATR 42 aircraft in December 1993. It won government authority in 1995 to transport Petrobras employees and cargo through the Amazon region, though it no longer provides this service.
