The Metal Observer is an online magazine specialising in heavy metal music. The webzine is based in Alberta, Canada. History

The Metal Observer was first published in the German language when it was launched on May 1, 2000 but an English version arrived soon thereafter on May 26, 2000.cite web |title=History |publisher=The Metal Observer |url=http://www.metal-observer.com/history.php?lid=1 |accessdate=2008-05-31] The magazine continues to publish material in both languages.
