Finland will be present at the Eurovision Song Contest 2009, held in Moscow, Russia. Yleisradio Oy (YLE) has selected the final preselection date as 31 January 2009, with three semi-finals to be held on the 9, 16 and 23 January. At Eurovision

Since Finland is not one of the "Big Four" and is not the host of the 2009 contest, it will have to compete in one of the two semi-finals.
