Enrico Martino is a Italian photojournalist.

Biography

Turin-born, freelance photojournalist from 1971, covered Sahel famine in 1984, Yom Kippur War, 1991 Gulf War. first elections in German Democratic Republic, Hungary and Romania after Berlin Wall fall. And been also the first Italian photojournalist to realize a reportage on Parris Island Marine Corp training in Georgia, USA.

After 1985 he specialized in geographic reportages, with special attention to the social and cultural aspects. The work of the last years is characterized by a special attention towards Latin America with a strong specialization on Mexico where realized many reportages about Indian peoples. He has published books in Italy and France and personal exibitions in Torino, Rome, Palermo, Padova, Mexico City, Acapulco, Buenos Aires, Berlin and Chicago. He published stories internationally in publications such Elle, Marie Claire, Merian, Spiegel, Die Zeit, Geo, Jeune Afrique, Rutas del Mundo, Meridiani, “D” di Repubblica, Epoca, Espresso, Panorama, Atlante, Europeo, Focus, Gente Viaggi, In Viaggio, Airone, Panorama Travel, Sette, Traveller, Tuttoturismo .He collaborated also with Mexico City Caritas organization on a wide-ranging visual communications project.

His photographs are preserved near British Museum of London and United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, UNHCR of Geneva.
