Abul Ahsan

Abul Ahsan is a Bangladeshi diplomat and politician who served as the first secretary-general of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC), from 16 January, 1987 to 15 October, 1989. He was nominated by the regime of Lt. Gen. Hossain Mohammad Ershad, the then-President of Bangladesh.
