Korea-Japan Talks

Korea-Japan Talks refer to a series of bilateral talks held between the South Korea and Japan from October 1951 to June 1965 in order to normalize diplomatic ties. On June 22, 1965, the two countries signed the Treaty on Basic Relations between Japan and the Republic of Korea.

Over the period of 14 years, a total of seven talks were held and the 1965 Treaty on Basic Relations between Japan and the Republic of Korea reopened diplomatic relations between the two countries.
