Francis "Fran" Michael Logan (born 25 February 1956) in Whyteleafe, Surrey, United Kingdom) is an Australian politician. He has been an ALP member of the Western Australian Legislative Assembly since the 2001 election, representing the electorate of Cockburn. Logan emigrated to Western Australia in 1980 after travelling aound Asia, leaving the UK after the Thatcher government was elected. Having trained as a mechanic, he worked in the aircraft and mining industries and later completed a Bachelor of Arts with Honours at Sydney University. Employed as a trade union official with the Australian Manufacturing Workers Union from 1986 [cite web|url=http://www.crikey.com.au/Politics/20070326-Tracking-the-unionists-in-parliament.html|title=Crikey.com - Tracking the Unionists in Parliament|year=2008|accessdate=2008-06-11] until winning preselection for the seat of Cockburn on the retirement of William Thomas which Logan held for the Labor party in the 2001 election. Logan subsequently retained the seat in the 2005 election which he holds by a margin of 16.4%. Appointed to the position of Minister of Housing, Works and Heritage from 2005 to 2006. Logan was then appointed as the Minister of Energy, Science and Innovation for the remainder of 2006.

Currently, Logan is the Minister of Energy, Resources, Industry and Enterprise.

In May 2008, Logan caused a political storm when he admitted that he badgered a female ministerial staffer into having sex with him and another employee of the government. The woman involved had stated that Logan had propositioned her to take part in a threesome on more than one occasion.
