Australia–Moldova relations

Moldo-Australian relations are foreign relations between Australia and Moldova.

Australia does not have an Embassy in Chisinau, therefore Australia’s ambassador in Moscow is accredited to Moldova.

Moldova has no resident representation in Australia.

There is no common border between two countries.

Australia’s trade and investment relationship with Moldova is currently rather insignificant. The bilateral merchandise trade in 2006-2007 represented A$805,000. For the foreseeable future, the most long lasting aspect of the bilateral relationship will be probably Australia’s commercial involvement in the Moldovan wine industry. In 2007, Australian major exports to Moldova were miscellaneous chemical products, telecommunications equipment, alcoholic beverages. Moldavian major exported goods to Australia were clothing, floor coverings, pumps for liquids and alcoholic beverages.
