Eleanor Roosevelt High School is one of the best ranked public high schools in New York City.Fact|date=February 2008 The high school had its first graduating class in June 2006, with the students going on to such colleges as University of Maryland College Park, Bard College, Barnard College, Emory University, Georgetown University, Boston University, Hunter College, George Washington University, New York University, Smith College, University of Michigan, and University of Pennsylvania.Fact|date=May 2007

Facilities

Eleanor Roosevelt High School is a five-floor structure with two modern science laboratories, two elevators, a gymnasium, an art studio, a computer laboratory with three different formats (Mac, Windows and Linux) and a music room with four soundproof rooms. All of the classroom are up to date with wall fixed, built in projection, smart boards, and computer carts holding aproximitly 20 computers per cart.

Admissions

Admissions to Elanor Roosevelt is based on students grades, absences and test scores. Students need an 85 average or above in all subjects to apply. Preference is given to district 2 students. Any student who has 10 absences or lateness combined is not eligible to apply.
