Rondi Reed

Rondi Reed (born October 26, 1952, in Dixon, Illinois) is a Tony Award-winning American actress who is well know for her work in theatre. Reed has starred in plays on Broadway including "The Rise and Fall of Little Voice" as Mari Hoffand and Mrs. Wainwright in "The Grapes of Wrath". In 2005, she originated the role of Madame Morrible in the Chicago company of the musical "Wicked". After playing Madame Morrible for nealry two years, she left the show on May 8, 2007. She originated the role of Mattie Fae Aiken in the Broadway play ' for which she won the Tony Award for Best Performance by a Featured Actress in a Play. Reed returned to the Chicago company of "Wicked" to reprise the role of Madame Morrible beginning June 27, 2008. Barbara Robertson will replace Rondi when she leaves to open ' in London.
