Bhashya

Bhashya is a Sanskrit word for "commentary" or "exposition" [ [http://www.experiencefestival.com/bhashya Bhashya] ] . It is especially used with reference to a text or religious work.

A typical Bhashya would be an interpretation of a Sutra or other classical work. It can also consist of word by word translations and the individual view point of the commentator or Bhashyakara.
