Agent Based Modeling Toolkit Comparison

Overview

In the last few years, the agent-based modeling (ABM) community has made giant strides in developing practical agent based modeling toolkits that enable individuals to develop significant applications. More and more such toolkits are coming into existence, and each toolkit has a variety of characteristics. Some toolkits are built for general purpose modeling and some are built for a particular domain. Some are open source, some are closed source, and others are proprietary. Some toolkits have a simple user interface, and others require complex programming techniques. Several individuals have made attempts to compare toolkits to each other (see references below) In this wiki, we created a chart to capture many of the features that are important to ABM toolkit users. We hope this will help individuals compare toolkits across a range of characteristics.
