"This Is Me", written by Julie Brown, Paul Brown, Regina Hicks and Karen Gist, is the fourth single from Camp Rock, a Disney Channel original movie, [ [http://tommy2.net/content/?p=1918 Tommy2.net » Blog Archive » Daily News ] ] [ [http://www.miley5.net www.miley5.net] ] that is featured on the movie's soundtrack. It was released on June 17, 2008 on iTunes digital music store for its acoustic full version; however, the original version (on the soundtrack) is not being released independently on iTunes, but it can be purchased as a single track on iTunes from the soundtrack.

The original reached number one on iTunes top 100 on June 23, 2008, and peaked on the Billboard Hot 100 at #9 for the issue dated July 12, 2008.

On September 21 2008, the song entered the UK Singles Chart at #143 on downloads alone and peaked at #33.

On October 5 2008, This Is Me entered the Australian ARIA top 50 landing at #46Fact|date=October 2008

This is the first song that Demi Lovato's character, Mitchie Torres, sang in "Camp Rock" with Joe Jonas's character, Shane Gray. Mitchie wrote the song in the beginning of the movie, and was later heard (in an acoustic version on piano), but not seen, by Shane, who set out to search for the girl behind the amazing voice. After most people performed already in the "Final Jam" session, Mitchie sang the song (original version), and Shane saw her and sang part of the song he wrote, "Gotta Find You". The two songs are combined to make the original version, as featured on the Camp Rock soundtrack CD.
