Robert Maskew Cowper (born October 5 1940 in Kew, Melbourne) is a former Australian, Victorian and Western Australian cricketer and played for a time also with the Marylebone Cricket Club in Britain.

In 1966 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground he made 307 against England - the second highest score on Australian soil after Matthew Hayden's 380 against Zimbabwe at the WACA Ground in 2003. Remarkably the left-hander averaged an impressive 75.78 in home Tests but only 33.33 overseas. This difference, of 42.45, is a test match record [ [http://content-uk.cricinfo.com/ci/content/story/125733.html The best - and worst - travellers] ] .

Since retiring from playing, he has served as a cricket referee.
