Hay Railway

Hay Railway

The Hay Railway (HR) was an early Welsh narrow gauge horse tramway that connected Hay-on-Wye with Brecon. The tramway was built in 1811 to a gauge of RailGauge|3ft6in. It was absorbed into the Hereford Hay and Brecon Railway in 1860 and converted to standard gauge. [Baughan 1980, page 205]
