Liz o'rourke

Liz O'Rourke is a fictional character on the series Degrassi Junior High and Degrassi High. She is played by Cathy Keenan.

Degrassi Old School

Liz transferred to Degrassi Junior High in the middle of 8th grade. She quickly became best friends with Christine "Spike" Nelson.

In Degrassi High, she catches the twins, Heather and Erica, at an abortion clinic. She harasses Erica with "abortion is murder" propaganda and they get into a physical fight. Liz reveals to Spike that her father left her mother while she was pregnant with her and beat her because she wouldn't have an abortion.

When Tim tries to get close to Liz, she is haunted by memories of sexual abuse by her mother's boyfriend.

Degrassi The Next Generation

Liz appears in the episode Father Figure. She is now a midwife and visits to help Spike give birth to her and Snake's son, Jack, at home. Interestingly, she Heather and Erica are together at Spike's baby shower.

Liz also appears in the fifth season episode "I Against I" to cheer up Spike after she finds out of Snake's infidelity with Ms. Hatzilakos.
