Prstaci

Prstaci or date shells are found on the Adriatic coast of Croatia and Montenegro. The Croatian government had restricted the collection of these shells to protect the rocks on which they are found. Historically these shells are considered a delicacy. They are commonly cooked and served in a broth of white wine, garlic and parsley.
