Warwick Farm Raceway is primarily Warwick Farm Racecourse at Warwick Farm. It is located in the south-west suburb of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. The racecourse once served dual purposes as both a racecourse for thoroughbred horse racing and automobile racing from the 1950s up until 1973.

History

Warwick Farm Raceway was built in the early 1950s as a permanent track and had a rather small design yet it provided closely packed action. It become a major track of the 1960s for Australia when it became involved in the Australian Touring Car Championship. It also hosted the Australian Grand Prix and the Tasman Series [http://www.tasman-series.com/tracks/warwick_farm/warwick_farm.asp Warwick Farm - Tasman Series] ] . The last major race at Warwick Farm was the final round of the 1973 Australian Touring Car Championship on July 15. The motor racing circuit closed in August of that year.

Australian Touring Car Championship

Warwick Farm Raceway hosted the Australian Touring Car Championship in 1968 and hosted rounds in 1970, 1972 and 1973.
