St Clair Surf Life Saving Club

St. Clair Surf Life Saving Club, or St. Clair SLSC, is a surf lifesaving club based at St. Clair beach in Dunedin, New Zealand. The club is the largest of the six clubs based in the Otago region and is one of seventy one clubs nationwide.

The club hosts annual mid-winter swim each year which attracts large crowds to the cool Pacific Ocean waters. Club life member H. Duke Gilles MBE created the very first mono hulled surf canoe.
