This is My Life (film)

"This Is My Life" is a film about Dottie Ingels (Julie Kavner), who works at a cosmetics counter, and when she suddenly becomes famous. It started when her Aunt Harriet died and left her an apartment in New York. Afterwards, Dottie becomes a comedian, but her career had gotten even bigger when she gets a famous agent, Arnold Moss, (Dan Aykroyd) and his assistant, Claudia Curtis (Carrie Fisher). Dottie's children, Erica (Samantha Mathis) and Opal (Gaby Hoffmann) get angry at Dottie because they hardly ever see her. Erica and Opal then run away to find their father, who Opal doesn't remember, only being 1 or 2 years-old when he left them.

The film is based on Nora Ephron's "This Is Your Life".

The movie was re-rated from "R" to "PG-13," and on the tape, it says "PG"
