Founder and History

timeless books is an independent Canadian micro-press, publishing four titles a year, with international distribution and translations in 6 languages. The books are centered around the teachings of yoga but include memoir, poetry, spiritual activism, graphic novel and spiritual biography. timeless books also publishes audio and video titles.

Founded in 1978, the first publication was ‘‘Kundalini Yoga for the West’’. Originally a publishing house that printed the writing of Swami Sivananda Radha, timeless books started out at Yasodhara Ashram printing pamphlets and the ashram newsletter, ascent (now ascent magazine). In 2004 its headquarters relocated to Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
