Bury Schools Athletics Championships

The Bury Schools Athletics Championship is an annual event that pits all of the schools in the Bury area against each other in a series of athletics races and events. This event is held at a local athletics track on the edge of the town of Bury, opposite Bury College. The event is very sought after by every school in the area and so is taken very seriously. The competition is comprised of 10 events. These are:
* 100 metres
* 200 metres
* 400 metres
* 800 metres
* 1500 metres
* 4x100 metre relay
* javelin
* shotput
* long jump
* triple jump
The races are entered by both male and female participants of different age groups, with separate competitions for each group, along with an overall competition to determine the winner of the whole championship.
