Early Life

Degroat hails from the The Berkshires in Massachusetts where she grew up with her mother and younger sister. As a child her hobbies included piano playing, ballet, and singing. Her professional career began after being discovered while walking in Union Square in New York City. She was approached to do a few lines in a commercial for the New York Daily News.She is also on many commercials.She was also in the children's show Cyberchase.
