Kyoritsu Women's University

nihongo|Kyoritsu Women's University|共立女子学園|Kyōritsu joshi daigaku is a private women's college in Chiyoda, Tokyo, Japan, established in 1949. The predecessor of the school, a vocational school, was founded in 1886. The name "Kyoritsu", meaning "standing together" in Japanese, came from the fact that 34 people were involved in the foundation of the school; among them were educator Haruko Hatoyama, the father of writer Kafu Nagai and educator Seiichi Tejima.
