Tonawanda Reservation is an Indian reservation of the Tonawanda Band of Seneca Indians located in Erie County, New York, United States. As of the 2000 census, the Indian reservation had a total population of 10. Most of the reservation is in Genesee County.

The Tonawanda Reservation is also known as the Tonawanda Creek Reservation. Currently, about a half dozen businesses, located on Bloomingdale Road on the reservation, are engaged in the sale of untaxed, low-price cigarettes and gasoline.

Geography

According to the United States Census Bureau, the Indian reservation has a total area of 4.8 km² (1.8 mi²). None of the area is covered with water.

Demographics

As of the censusGR|2 of 2000, there are 10 people (all white), 5 households, and 1 family residing in the Indian reservation. The population density is 2.1/km² (5.4/mi²). There are 5 housing units at an average density of 1.0/km² (2.7/mi²).

There are 5 households out of which 0.0% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 20.0% are married couples living together, 0.0% have a female householder with no husband present, and 80.0% are non-families. 40.0% of all households are made up of individuals and 20.0% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older.
