Avian infectious bronchitis (IB) is an acute and highly contagious respiratory disease of chickens. It is caused by avian infectious bronchitis virus, a coronavirus. The disease is characterized by respiratory signs including gasping, coughing, sneezing, tracheal rales, and nasal discharge.
