A well-known personality of CJRI is Richard Green. Green also offers training in radio and voice-over techniques through CJRI while providing these services on the air himself.

On October 2, 2008, the licensee proposes to replace the existing frequency 94.7 MHz (channel 234LP) by 104.5 MHz (channel 283LP). The licensee states that this change is necessary due to interference from a new FM radio station in the United States using the existing frequency of CJRI-FM.
