Dan Gheesling (born September 1, 1983) is the winner of the U.S. series "Big Brother 10". Gheesling is a Catholic high school teacher from Dearborn, MI. Dan Gheesling entered the Big Brother house on Day 1 with the rest of the houseguests, and quickly formed an alliance with his initial friend in the house, Brian Hart. However, Brian was the first houseguest evicted, and Dan was nominated for eviction in Week 2 against Steven Daigle. Dan managed to survive the eviction by selling himself to the other houseguests as both more loyal and strategically weaker than Steven.

In Week 4 Dan was voted America's Player, and he succeeded at his assigned tasks, earning himself $20,000. His tasks were to get Jessie Godderz nominated, hug Jessie for ten seconds, and vote for America's choice (which turned out to be Jessie) in the eviction ceremony. Although he had previously sworn on his cross that he would remain loyal to the houseguests who wanted to evict Memphis Garrett, America chose for Dan to evict Jessie instead, and Dan proved to be the tiebreaking vote that sent Jessie home.

Following this eviction vote, Dan struck an alliance with Memphis (whom he had in effect kept in the house by voting out Jessie). The pair plotted to make it to the final two together, using Keesha Smith, Libra Thompson and Renny Martyn to help them in this aim.

Because Dan went back on his word after swearing on a cross, Dan was frequently criticized by housemate Jerry MacDonald, with Jerry repeatedly referring to Dan as a Judas and accusing him of "hiding behind his cross". Jerry even stated at a veto meeting that he wanted Dan on the block because he believed he is a "Judas", to which Dan simply replied, "I understand."

In Week 6 Dan abandoned his strategy to portray himself as a weak player and won the power of veto. (He chose not to use this power, despite a bribe from nominee April Dowling, who was subsequently evicted). Dan then won the Head of Household competition for week 7, after striking a deal with Bryan Ollie in which Ollie dropped out of the competition in exchange for Dan's promise that he would not nominate Ollie or Michelle Costa. Dan subsequently reneged on the deal made with Ollie and nominated Michelle Costa for eviction. This was followed by Ollie thrashing items in the house and directing homophobic slurs toward Dan and Memphis.

Later, Dan won the power of veto during the live double eviction episode, choosing not to use it and then sending Ollie home. When Jerry subsequently became head of household, Dan was nominated for eviction alongside Keesha. However, his ally Memphis won the veto and saved Dan from nomination, forcing Dan to evict a close friend, Renny.

In Week 9, Dan won the Head of Household competition, making him the third person to win twice. He also won the luxury competition in the same week and could take another houseguest or a jury member with him; Dan chose to take Michelle in a bid to make amends for being pivotal in her eviction two weeks earlier.

Dan won the final Head of Household competition, becoming the first and only person in season 10 to win the position three times. He chose to take long-term ally Memphis to the finale with him. At the finale, Dan won Big Brother 10 by a unanimous vote, making him the first player in any season of Big Brother (US) to win unanimously.
