Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Ethiopia)

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Amharic: የኢትዮጵያ የውጭ ጉዳይ ሚኒስቴር) is the Ethiopian government ministry which oversees the foreign relations of Ethiopia.

The current ministry was established 23 August 1995 with the passing of Proclamation 4-1995, which also established the other 14 original Ministries.[1] Its organizational structure includes: a Minister, two State Ministers, eight Cabinet of the Minister, 13 General Directorate, and 42 Diplomatic Missions abroad. The current Minister of Foreign Affairs is Deputy Prime Minister Haile Mariam Desalegne, who received his portfolio following the 2010 general elections.[2]
