Plot

Max (Elliot Gould) saves a young girl from being harmed from her stepmother. The police then arrest him because they think he's responsible for kidnapping her. Max is then in jail where Monica visits him along with Andrew, the Angel of Death. Max remembers seeing Andrew in the Auschwitz barracks in 1944. Andrew says that his father died on his feet, praising God. Monica says it was man that killed those people, not God. Max then weeps. Later, the diner that saw Max get arrested tells the cops that they got the wrong person. Max is then let go, and registers to be a foster parent for the girl.
