CKTG is a Canadian radio station, broadcasting at 105.3 FM in Thunder Bay, Ontario. The station, owned by Newcap Broadcasting, broadcasts classic rock using the brand name 105-3 The Giant. "Giant" is a reference to the Sleeping Giant, a landform in Lake Superior.

The station was launched in 1944 as CFPA at 1230 kHz, an AM CBC Dominion Network station owned by local businessman Ralph Parker [ [http://www.broadcasting-history.ca/listings_and_histories/radio/histories.php?id=301&historyID=98 Canadian Communications Foundation - Fondation Des Communications Canadiennes ] ] The station ceased airing CBC programming in 1972, adopting a country music format.

In 1980, the station was purchased by Leader Broadcasting and adopted the call sign CJLB. In 1988, the station was acquired by Newcap Broadcasting.

In 1995, Newcap entered a local management agreement with Dougall Media, giving Dougall the right to manage the station. On 2 November 1994, CJLB was given approval by the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) to convert from the AM band to the FM band. When atmosheric conditions are right, "The Giant" can be heard across Lake Superior in Munising and Marquette, Michigan.

In 2002, the station adopted a hot adult contemporary format as Hot 105. In 2004, Dougall terminated the LMA when Newcap applied to purchase CJUK.

Newcap adopted CKTG's current format in early 2005.
