William Conelan

William Conelan

William Patrick Conelan (23 December 1895 – 28 February 1983) was an Australian politician. Born in Wadmaninga, South Australia, he received a primary education before becoming a tailor's cutter and draper. He was involved in local politics as a member of Brisbane City Council, having moved from South Australia to Queensland. In 1939, he was elected to the Australian House of Representatives as the Labor member for Griffith. He held the seat until his defeat in 1949.
