James Frances "Jimmy" Gnecco (born September 30, 1973 Ridgefield Park New Jersey) is a musician. He is the vocalist and guitarist for alternative rock band Ours.

Jimmy has three older sisters and two younger brothers, as well as two children. One of his brothers, who goes by the stage name Pit Orbach, was the drummer for Ours but has since left the band as of May 2008. He is an avid runner and a huge fan of early Motown, U2, and the now defunct band Jellyfish. His favorite album is "What's Going On" by Marvin Gaye.

Before forming Ours, Jimmy sang as a part of "Lost Child" and "The Harmony Bandits." Jimmy has had little to no formal vocal training because he couldn't afford it. He encourages bootlegging as a way to build a musical community. Fact|date=February 2007

Jimmy was close with late musician Jeff Buckley before his death and wrote the song "I Heard You Singing" for him.

Jimmy lives a vegan lifestyle. Jimmy not only does not smoke, but avoids being in the same room as smoke in order to protect his voice.

Gnecco and Brian May of band Queen recorded a duet, "Someone to Die For" for the "Spider-Man 2" soundtrack.

Gnecco also contributed on the track "Our Final Hymn" from Neverending White Lights's debut album, "" and also the track "Dove Coloured Sky" from their second album "Act II: The Blood and the Life Eternal."

Jimmy's voice can also be heard in a Kohl's fall 2006 commercial singing a cover of Big Country's titular "Big Country."
