"Right on the Money" is a single by American country music singer Alan Jackson. Released in 1998 as the second single from his CD, "High Mileage", and co-written by Phil Vassar, the song became Jackson's sixteenth number-one single on the Hot Country Singles & Tracks (now Hot Country Songs) chart.

Content

The song, written in the key of E-flat major, is a moderate up-tempo accompanied primarily by acoustic guitar and piano. Its lyrics are the narrator's description of how his wife fits perfectly into his life. In the verses, he lists the various other "perfect" things to which his wife compares (such as "a home run pitch floating right down the middle / The sweet music made when the bow hits the fiddle"), while in the chorus, he states that his wife is "right on the money".
