Johnny Hetki

John Edward Hetki (born May 12, 1922 in Leavenworth, Kansas) is a former pitcher in Major League Baseball who played from by|1945 through by|1954 for the Cincinnati Reds (1945-48, 1950), St. Louis Browns (1952) and Pittsburgh Pirates (1953-54). Listed at 6' 1", 202 lb., he batted and threw right-handed. In an eight-season career, Hetki posted a 18-26 record with a 4.39 ERA in 214 appearances, including 23 starts, eight complete games, 13 saves, 175 strikeouts, 185 walks, and 525 ⅓ innings of work.
