"Guitar Hero World Tour" is the fourth major release in the "Guitar Hero" series of music video games. Unlike previous releases, which focused on the use of a guitar-shaped game controller to simulate the playing of rock music, "Guitar Hero World Tour" will also add drum and vocal gameplay elements, a first for the series. The game is being developed by Neversoft, and will be distributed by RedOctane and Activision. The game will be released on the PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Wii, and Xbox 360 game consoles.
