Triple album

A triple album is a musical work whose length forced it to be released on three LP records. The first triple album is generally considered to be George Harrison's "All Things Must Pass". These types of albums, as with double albums, are generally thought to be typical of the progressive rock genre, but not all have been: exemplified by The Clash's eclectic 1980 project "Sandinista!" and "Europe '72" by The Grateful Dead. The triple album is not limited to studio albums. 3 LP retrospectives of an artist's work, such as Stevie Wonder's LP anthology " Looking Back", can be considered triple albums. Ciara's upcoming third album Fantasy Ride will be considered a triple album. Ciara will mark history as the first female R&B artist to release a three-disc album.
