Wetlands of Hong Kong

There aren't many natural wetlands in Hong Kong. And Maipo(米埔濕地) is the biggest in them and the most famous of all. Most of the wetlands in Hong Kong are unuseed farm land, such as lang yun wetland(塱原濕地).

It is hard to have man made wetland in Hong Kong, and wetland rebuild are loss in common too. Itis because wetlands are made by nature, but in Hong Kong it is all about buildngs, it is hard to have a natural wetland. Becides develops in Hong Kong bring out waters in the past watlands. So the species in the man made wetland is different. This is why when KCR(九廣鐵路公司) build the Lok Ma Chou real way(落馬洲支線)they build tunnel to cross lang yun wetland.
