Tommy Searle

Tommy Searle (born July 13, 1990 in Pembury) is a British motocross racer currently competing in the MX2-GP Motocross World Championship with the KTM Redbull team managed by former world champion Stefan Everts.

Searle debuted in the MX2-GP series in 2006, and managed to secure an eighth place finish overall for the season [http://www.motocrossmx1.com/reslists.aspx?ct=1&c=7 Youthstream Results ] ] , despite only being 17 years of age. In 2007, Searle again competed in the MX2-GP Motocross World Championship, and confirmed his status as one of the best young talents in world motocross by securing a second place finish overall for the season, including individual race wins at the Grand Prix's of Sweden and Great Britain, and seven podium finishes.

Searle finished the 2008 MX2-GP Motocross World Championship in second place overall, behind the South African rider Tyla Rattray, but was in contention for first place until the last race of the season, and won the Grand Prixs of Bulgaria, France, the Czech Republic and Citta di Faenza. He also scored podium finishes in Portugal, Italy, Great Britain, South Africa, Ireland and Benelux, making 2008 his most successful season to date.

In January 2008, Searle signed a contract with KTM North America, and will compete in the AMA MX Lites series from 2009 onwards.
