Brian Metcalf

Brian A. Metcalf is an Asian American director, producer, writer and artist. He attended Warren Area High School in Pennsylvania and the Joe Kubert School of Art located in Dover, New Jersey, working as a traditional artist, creative director, photographer, visual effects artist and supervisor working on numerous highend projects and features such as "The Passion of the Christ", "The Day After Tomorrow", "Pitch Black", and "The Lion King" virtual tours before moving on to directing.

Brian's directorial debut was the award winning (Telly Award, Best Actor NYIIFF) short film "Sorrows Lost" in which he produced, directed and wrote. The film stars Witchblade's Eric Etebari and Days of our Lives' Roark Critchlow. Brian then went on to direct the feature film "The Dreamless" reuniting with actor Eric Etebari and featuring Reservoir Dogs' Kirk Baltz, Baywatch's David Chokachi and Anthony Cistaro but was unhappy with the lack of creative control he had. Other projects include producing and directing the music video "Money Shot" by Helmet which won a Telly Award. Brian also went on to direct and produce the live shoot of Fox's 24: The DVD Board Game, starring Kiefer Sutherland - all of which were underneath his production company, Ratio Pictures, with co-partner Karoline Kautz.

Brian will be writing, producing and directing the upcoming "Fading of the Cries" film starring Thomas Ian Nicholas and Jordan Matthews with Karoline Kautz producing.
