Camelia Voin

Camelia Voin, is a lyric coloratura soprano born in Lugoj on July 4th, 1969.Her father is a retired forester and church cantor, and her mother is a retired professor of mathematics. She studied music in Romania at the School of Music in Timisoara (Liceul de Musica Ion Vidu) and at the Conservatory of Music in Bucharest. In the USA she studied at the University of Redlands and the Claremont Graduate University, both in California. She is a laureate of many international competitions including Metropolitan Opera Competition, Palm Beach Opera Competition, Stuttgart Opera Competition, and International Voice Competition Julian Gayarre.She performs both in the US and Europe, as a soloist in opera as well as in oratorio.She excels in roles of the "bel canto" style.

Ms. Voin is a voice instructor at the University of California and at the California Baptist University, both in Riverside, California.
