Voykovskaya

Voykovskaya ( _ru. Войковская) is a station in the northern part of the Zamoskvoretskaya Line of the Moscow Metro. It opened in 1964 along with its two neighbors to the north, Vodny Stadion and Rechnoy Vokzal. All were built according to the same standardized pillar-trispan design (also know as "Sorokonozhka"), which was widely used in the 1960s as a cost-saving measure. Voikovskaya's architects were I.G. Petukhova and A.F. Fokina. The entrance to the station is located on the Leningrad Highway.

The station is named after Pyotr Voykov, a Soviet Commissar who was, in particular, involved into the execution of the family of the last Russian emperor Nicholas II.
