"Brutal Planet" is the 21st studio album by Alice Cooper, released in 2000.

The album has an industrial metal style not found on previous Alice Cooper albums. Lyrically, it is dark "social fiction," but nevertheless deals with real-life themes such as domestic violence ("Wicked Young Man") or school shootings ("Blow Me A Kiss").It has been erronously reported that this album is the second in a trilogy; however, Cooper has stated it has no relation to his previous work "The Last Temptation". It is followed by a sequel, "Dragontown", described by Cooper as the worst town on the Brutal Planet.

Trivia

* The songs "Gimme" and "It's The Little Things" had official music videos, the latter being Cooper's last music video to date.
* Six years passed between "The Last Temptation" and "Brutal Planet", making it the longest break Cooper has taken to produce a new album.
* A song called 'Cant Sleep The Clowns Will Eat Me' was going to be on this album but Cooper thought it didn't fit with the other songs so it was removed. It first appeared as a bonus track on the Japanese and Australian releases of the album, then appeared worldwide on the Special Edition version of Dragontown in 2002.
