List of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community buildings and structures

This is a List of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community mosques, hospitals, schools and other structures throughout the world that are constructed/owned by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community.

Asia

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community originated on the Asian continent in 1889, with the birth of the Community taking place in Qadian, India. Ahmadiyya Muslim Mosques Around the World, pg. 116] As of 2008, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community has been established in all Asian countries except for Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Georgia and North Korea. Qadian (India)

Rabwah (Pakistan)

* Rabwah was a town founded and created from scratch by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in the time of its Second Caliph, Mirza Basheer-ud-Din Mahmood Ahmad and was named ‘Rabwah’ by the Ahmadiyya Missionary Jalal-ud-Din Shams, (the author of the famous book “Where Did Jesus Die?” and companion of Mirza Ghulam Ahmad) because ‘rabwah’ in Arabic means ‘elevated/exalted place’ and thus, Jalal-ud-Din Shams coined for the town Rabwah because of the narration in the Qur’an of Jesus being exalted/elevated towards God. * Rabwah acted as the International Headquarters of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community after the India-Pakistan partition and before the migration of the Fourth Khalifa (International Head) of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Mirza Tahir Ahmad to Europe in London, England, due to the government of Pakistan’s anti-Ahmadi intolerant hate laws (of which they hold up even today) and the dictator regime of General Zia-ul-Haq who was plotting to kill Mirza Tahir Ahmad. The Second Caliph of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Mirza Basheer-ud-Din Mahmood Ahmad wished that a mosque be built in Berlin in his time and the monetary contributions for this project were provided by the Ahmadiyya women’s association of Pakistan and adjacent countries. However, due to difficulties, a mosque could not be built there and instead, the money was used to build the Fazl Mosque, namely the first Ahmadiyya mosque built outside of Pakistan, India or Bangladesh, the first mosque in England and the first large-scale mission outside of the Indian sub-continent and adjacent countries. In the year 2008, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community again received monetary contributions from the Ahmadiyya Women’s Association, though this time from throughout the world and this it was decided by Mirza Masroor Ahmad, present Worldwide Caliph (Head) of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, that a mosque should be built in Berlin. There was some opposition to the building of the mosque, probably due to the West’s sense of Islamaphobia but the plans for the mosque continued, probably due to the fact that it was endorsed by government officials and that the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is quite far removed from Islamic orthodoxy, considered non-Muslim and has a motto of “Love for All Hatred for None”. Thus, the wishes of Mirza Basheer-ud-Din Mahmood Ahmad were fulfilled.

The mosque was named “Khadija Mosque” as it served as a memory to all the women’s donations and contributions to the building of the mosque given by Ahmadi women throughout the world and thus named “Khadija” as Khadija was a wife of Muhammad, in whom the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community believes in as the ‘Seal of the Prophets’. Thus, Khadija would represent the efforts of Muslim women and the mosque in Berlin was duly named as such.

Yusef Lateef is able to play and blend the tenor saxophone, flute, oboe, bamboo flute, shanai, shofar, argol, sarewa, taiwan koto and many other instruments into one piece of music.

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is notable in North America for creating the Baitun Nur Mosque which is the largest mosque in Canada.
