Estcots Primary School, built in the 1970s, is a thriving primary school in East Grinstead, West Sussex, in the Southeast England.The school, including the Governors, try to give students the very best opportunities and use unique and tactful ways of teaching to ensure that they can achieve their goals, and pass their S.A.T.s.The Head teacher, Miss. Susan Percy, who commenced her headship in September 2006, has been a particular influence on the students, shown in the recent survey that put Estcots as one of 'The top 5 'most successful' Schools in West Sussex'.Miss. Percy and the schools Chair of Governors, Revd. Julia Peaty, both agree that Estcots will 'do well' in the future and will prosper in the years to come.

SATs Information

S.A.T.s (Scholastic Aptitude Tests) are tests that are taken by Year 2 and Year 6 students (plus Year 9 students in Secondary School) to observe how well they are doing and also to give a slight insight about the pupil to their (soon-to-be) teachers at Secondary school.Although 4.20% of the schools 406 pupils have Special Needs, and only 60 are eligible for Key Stage 2 out of 240 pupils, Estcots' results for the S.A.T.s are exceptional!Results shown below:

Eco School

Estcots is now an eco-school. The students, with help from the teachers have been trying to help the environment for many years. The gardening club was announced in 2002/2003 was a start to the schools eco 'nature'. Now, apart from the still-running gardening club, Estcots teaches students about recycling and how the lack of doing it will ruin our planet, Earth. They're also taught about how trees and plants help the environment.

Estcots famous school council

Estcots has a brilliant school council made up of 2 pupils from each of the 7 year groups (except Reception). The fully active council place ideas to the head teacher; other teachers; students and sometimes "even" councillors!
