Rainbow District School Board is a school board in the Canadian province of Ontario. The school board is the school district administrator for English language public schools in Greater Sudbury, the southern Sudbury District and the Manitoulin District, with a total enrollment of 16,985 students as of October 31, 2005.[1] It operates schools in an administrative region of 14,125 square kilometres (5,454 sq mi).[1]

Amalgamation of Asquith-Garvey District School Area Board

The Asquith-Garvey District School Area Board, which had responsibility for schools in rural communities in northern Sudbury District, was amalgamated into the Rainbow District School Board for the 2009–2010 school year.[2][3]
