Lucy Mackintosh

Lucy Mackintosh is a well known and fully active contemporary art gallery, which produces multiple number of shows per year for the public. This gallery is located in Lausanne, Switzerland.

The Lucy Mackintosh gallery opened in Lausanne in 2004 in vast premises previously occupied by the EPFL architecture department. Devoted to Swiss and international contemporary art, it promotes and valorises the artist, giving their work, as well as the individual and collective expression that it defends, a stimulating context.

The architecture studio Décosterd & Rahm defined new standards for a contemporary art exhibition space starting from the concept of the "white canvas" for the refurbishing of the gallery.

The gallery, while still collaborating with artists, regularly invites architects and designers to present their work. It incites them to put forward their projects and research, going beyond the utilitarian and formal.

Gallery Lucy Mackintosh will continue to develop over the coming months and years to offer a vital and confrontational addition to the contemporary art scene.
